Dr. Anand Persad

Dr. Anand Persad is the Director of Research, at Tetra Energy Sciences (TES) Research and Consulting.

He assists Cities, Municipalities, Zoos, Parks and others in mitigating risk while measuring and tracking biodiversity, health and resilience in high value and sensitive greenspaces globally.  The focus at TES n Urban Greening and the nexus of green and grey infrastructure is Adaptive Management of green assets. At Energy Corporations and Utilities TES focuses on reliability and corridor edge hardening, habitat quality analytics and boosting their green ROI.

As founder of the Global International Tree Performance Initiative, he helps communities in 20 countries program their green spaces towards a more resilient future canopy.

He is an L.C. Chadwick awarded researcher in arboriculture (ISA 2021), former chair of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Science and Research Committee (SRC). Additionally, he served as Research Committee Chairperson for the Utility Arborist Association (UAA) and is a past president of the Arboricultural Research and Education Academy (AREA.)

He is the author of Green I People (2026), an inspiring account of global similarities to people’s value of their green surroundings.

Phil Swart

Founder

Phil is a Certified Utility Vegetation Management Professional (CUVMP), a credential the Utility Arborist Association awards to a little over 70 people nationwide. Earning it required nine college-level courses developed with the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, years of hands-on UVM experience, and a formal commitment to the UAA's code of ethics.
